In 2007, two friends with a passion for filmmaking ditched the status quo of traditional advertising and embarked on a journey to make great work, that shapes culture and captures the imagination of audiences worldwide...

We are called JustSo in honour of Rudyard Kipling and his iconic origin stories. It’s also a handy reminder to be obsessed with ensuring everything we make is 'just so'. (Pixel Perfect didn't have quite the same ring to it.)

BCorp

In 2020 JustSo reached an important milestone – becoming a B Corporation, and making a formal commitment to balance profit with purpose. 

We’ve always believed that business should - and can - be a force for good in society, and since we started in 2007, success has meant building a company that delivered a profit and had a positive impact on people’s lives and broader society.

Having a B Corp culture at JustSo means that every decision, even the small ones, comes from a place of thought, care and purpose - from how we run productions, to how we tell brand stories, through to the snacks we have in our office.

We see it as our stamp of approval that proves we genuinely care about these things - that it’s not just talk.

Global Creators Network

A big way we are able to reduce our carbon emissions on productions is through our Global Creators Network. This is our curated community of the most exciting filmmaking talent worldwide, and our way of producing more sustainable, diverse, and efficient global content.

We produced the entire series of Winter Tracks using local crews in every region, meaning we were able to reduce our carbon emissions across the series by 80%.

 
 
 

Ad Green

One of the ways we measure and report back on the sustainability of our productions is through the Ad Green Calculator.

And for each production, we produce an Impact Report, a bit like this one.

Culture

At JustSo, kindness matters.

From how we treat each other, to how we treat our clients, suppliers and local community, being kind to people and the planet is woven into our culture.

As a team, we actively try to avoid baton passing across teams and departments and have a no big egos policy - we win or lose together.

And aside from a strong wind that often blows us in the direction of Lucky Voice Soho, we also try to focus our culture around supporting local initiatives and helping our community whenever we can. You can find out more about what we’ve got up to over the years here.

In 2023, we were pretty chuffed to be announced as winners of Campaign’s Best Places to Work, which puts us in the top 100 companies for employee satisfaction within the media, agency, adtech and marketing sectors.


JustSo Heroes

This is a bi-monthly award, voted for by JustSo'ers. It gives us all a chance to give someone a shoutout for being amazing, and helps us build a culture of going the extra mile to be kind and make great work.

From small every day things they’ve quietly gone above and beyond for, to big wins where they've really saved the day; a JustSo Hero is someone who has lived out our Principles like a champ and deserves to get a ✨big shiny prize✨.


Our Library

We harness the power of storytelling throughout the business. From how we write our decks, to how we communicate externally, our storytelling ability makes us more memorable, engaging and human.

We live and breathe stories.  We watch, we listen, we share stories with each other.  We keep our eyes and ears pricked - some of the projects we are most proud of started life as a footnote in an article, or a conversation with a stranger.

To support this, everyone at JustSo has a £50 allowance each year to spend on books for our shared Library. It could be anything that interests you; anything that you want to learn more about and be able to bring to the table.
